MP launches series of 'Town Hall' meetings
Local MP Tim Farron is to launch a series of 'town hall meetings' in the South Lakes this Spring.
The meetings are open to everyone, and residents will be able to put their questions to Tim and raise and discuss issues of concern to local people.
The first two meetings will be held at St Thomas' Church in Milnthorpe on Friday 16th February and People's Hall in Sedbergh on Friday 2nd March. Both meetings will run from 7pm to 9pm.
Tim said: "One of the best parts of my job is getting out into the community, listening to local issues and acting on them.
"During the last series of town hall meetings, dozens of local residents came along and voiced their concerns. It was a great opportunity to be quizzed on subjects ranging from road defects to the state of the economy.
"Wherever you are in the South Lakes, and whatever your question or issue, I'd be delighted to see you at one of the meetings."
