Tackling speeding on Aynam Rd

Local Lib Dem councillors are tackling speeding on Aynam Road in Kendal, to make the area safer for local residents.

Kendal Councillor Clare Feeney-Johnson set up the initiative, and has been joined by other local councillors and volunteers. The group has been trained by the police to use a hand-held camera to monitor speeding issues.

The scheme will now be trialled for a month. If successful, the scheme could be rolled out to other areas across the town.

Tim said: "Speeding can make our town less safe for local residents, particularly young people and the elderly. It is fantastic to see our local Lib Dem councillors taking the lead on this, and getting the whole community involved. My thanks go to Clare Feeney-Johnson for setting this up."
