"I am delighted to tell you that we have been able to provide capital funding support to Kendal College which services your constituency, through the third phase of the College Capital Investment Fund (CCIF)."
He goes on: "Kendal College has secured an enhanced rate of public funding to reflect the challenges that this College faces and is being offered £3,006,062 of public funding to improve its facilities through a £3,340,069 project."
Commenting, Tim said: "This is absolutely brilliant news for Kendal College! It will lead to massive benefits for young people and employers across our area.
"It is vitally important that the college is able to regularly update the facilities on offer to students, in order to maintain the fantastic quality of college leavers in Cumbria. This money will enable them to continue adding to a pool of talent which will be the lifeblood of local businesses in the future.
"I am delighted Kendal College's importance to our community has been recognised by the Government. This money will make a significant contribution in equipping our young people with the skills they need to benefit the local area in their future careers".
