Comic arts festival promises to be amazing weekend - Farron

South Lakes MP Tim Farron has hailedthe first Lakes International Comic Art Festival as 'another event that will put Kendal on the international map'.

Running this weekend from Friday until Sunday, the creative line-up features some of the biggest names in comic art, reflecting the diversity of the genre from political cartoons to superhero comics.

Tim said:"We're really pleased to be hosting some of the very best comic art creators in the world and it promises to be a great weekend and a boost to the local economy.

"My children are really looking forward to the weekend and I know that this event promises to put Kendal firmly on the international map."
