Kendal Mountain Festival is best ever - MP

South Lakes MP Tim Farron has heralded the 2014 Kendal Mountain Festival as the "best ever".

The event, now in its 15th year, is the biggest outdoor festival of its kind in the world attracting thousands of visitors and makes our area the premier spot for outdoor culture.

Cumbria's Chamber of Commerce estimated that this year's festival will bring something in the region of £1.9million to the local economy.

Tim said: "This year's Mountain Festival was the best one ever and Kendal town centre was buzzing with people. I want to thank all those who worked so hard to put the event on. I'm already looking forward to the 2015 Mountain Festival!"
